The Moringa Grower's Co-op is a community initiative dedicated to growing moringa trees in Tampa Bay & St. Petersburg areas. Offering locally harvested moringa for people, pets and plant consumption, all profits are shared among member-owners. Join the MGC and sign-up to our newsletter for more information.

About Co-ops:

A cooperative or co-op is a business owned and democratically controlled by the people/members who use or create its services. Co-ops are member owned and member controlled complete with member benefits.

There are very unique differences between co-ops and other entities structures.  In Florida, co-ops are corporations too, they differ because co-ops operate at cost (usually not-for-profit).

There are 5 types of co-ops; Consumer, producer, worker, shared services and multi-stake cooperatives.

Cooperative Requirements:

Those interested in joining a co-op must pay a membership fee. A person is required to have an economic stake in the co-op. There must be a waiting period from the time a person is interested in becoming a member, to the time they become a full member.

About the MGC:

The Moringa Grower’s Co-op, Inc. is a for-profit corporation. The MGC has grown to manage thousands of moringa trees on over 300+ properties in the Tampa Bay area. We grow moringa trees in backyards, churches, community gardens and shared farms.

The MGC operates at-cost and returns profits from market and online sales to each of the member-owners. The MGC consists of moringa producer-members (growers) and also worker-members who train and educate others to grow and harvest moringa trees and make moringa products from them.

There are multiple classes of membership stock available in the MGC, creating multi-stake opportunities. The MGC is considered very unique, classifying it as a producer-worker and multi-stake cooperative.

The Moringa Grower's Co-op is now the industry leader in growing, providing, packaging and distributing organically grown moringa trees and moringa tree products from the Tampa Bay area. The MGC is one of the largest cooperatives in the country and is truly one of a kind.

Available Positions:

The MGC is seeking positions for MGC farmer's market vendors. We are actively seeking moringa growers, moringa harvesters, moringa educators, moringa technicians, moringa preppers, moringa sales, and moringa volunteers.
